February 16,2010 (28 people were BUSTED, In Memphis)

MEMPHIS, TN -- A Memphis woman with a very lengthy rap sheet over the last 20 years is behind bars once again.

Memphis police say Norreshea Bee has been arrested 14 times since 1988 for everything from forgery to identity theft to shoplifting. Her latest arrest includes 13 counts of theft, forgery and identity theft. She is set to go before a judge Wednesday, February 17, 2010.

Police say Norreshea Bee took another woman's wallet while at the Dillard's at the Wolfchase Galleria Mall January 2010.

According to police reports, Bee used the woman's credit cards and charged over $2,100 on them. Police say she bought everything from a laptop, to software and gift cards, and even a rental car.

Police say she showed one of the credit cards and the stolen driver's license to rent a car from Enterprise for two weeks.

The sales associate who rented Bee the car, ended up helping police pick her out from a photo line-up as the woman he rented the car to.

Police reports indicate that Bee admitted to police that she took the wallet, as well as used and signed someone else's name to buy things.

Bee is still going through the court system for her 2010 charges, but here are a few of the crimes she was found guilty of in 2009.

After being arrested three times in 2009, she was found guilty on all charges, but spent very little time in jail. In 2009 she wrote 21 bad checks on a closed account to Dillard’s, which totaled over $3,000. She presented a stolen check and counterfeit checks totaling $2,000 to various banks. She was also found guilty for prescription forgery and shoplifting.

For all those convictions in 2009, she spent anywhere from only six to 30 days in jail for each crime.
MEMPHIS, TN – Memphis police say they arrested nine people Tuesday, February 16, 2010, for selling sex near Memphis schools.

This all happened during an undercover sting operation. Police reports show that detectives went undercover and made fake deals with eight women and one man prostituting themselves within 1.5 miles of six Memphis elementary schools.

Police say the arrests were made near Dunbar Elementary School, Charjean Elementary School, Gordon Elementary School, Hollywood Elementary School, Shannon Elementary School, and Springdale Elementary School.

Police reports indicate the alleged prostitutes ranged in ages from 21 to 55 years-old.
According to police, some were offering their services for as little as ten dollars.

Most of the nine are set to meet with a judge Wednesday, February 17, 2010.
